Watchmen named to Time's 100 Best

If you've never read Watchmen, you don't know what you're missing..
October 17, 2005 - Comic-book readers often feel outside scorn for their beloved medium. It's rare when a comic earns critical mainstream recognition, but Watchmen is no ordinary comic. The October 24 issue of Time magazine features a list of the top 100 novels since 1923. The only graphic novel to make the list is Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' Watchmen.

Book critics Lev Grossman and Richard Lacayo created the list, which includes J.D. Salinger's Catcher in the Rye and Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird.
Grossman calls Watchmen "A work of ruthless psychological realism."
Time's top 100 list comes on the heels of the newly-released Watchmen: The Absolute Edition, now available in stores.
