Useless Postulation of the Day

Did you know that the subways are less crowded during the summer than they are during the winter? I thought about the reasons why and it came to me in one of those blinding 'Eureka!' moments: winter clothes. If you estimate that they add about 10-20% to the area that each individual occupies, it's kind of a given that any number of people in a subway car will occupy 10-20% more space in winter than in summer. Which makes for a more crowded subway.

It can't be long before the Nobel committee recognize my work..
