Mo,

'...Only a flicker
Over the strained time-ridden faces
Distracted from distraction by distraction
Filled with fancies and empty of meaning
Tumid apathy with no concentration
Men and bits of paper, whirled by the cold wind
That blows before and after time.'

-T.S. Eliot

Okay, that's not helping. Practical advice is not my forte, so the best I can offer is: children's picture books! Dr. Seuss' 'Oh, the Places You'll Go!' has a great bit about slumps (illustrated, they're all grey and swamplike) and the line, 'unslump yourself!' Even better, if you can get hold of it, is a little gem of a book called 'The Red Tree' written and illustrated by an obscure Aussie guy called Shaun Tan - 'tis gorgeous. Could be wrong, but I think you just might love it.
