The one year anniversary of the genesis of this virtual tome is rapidly creeping up on me. And, in the spirit of the Capitalist God out whose loins I dutifully drink, I thought I'd conduct a performance evalutation where you, dear readers, get to sit on the panel of judges and tell me what you think. Feel free to Paula, Randy or even Simon my slightest blog with your suggestions, criticism, praise and vitriol, though praise, adulation and undying alleigances are also welcome.

It doesn't matter if you've been a loyal reader or a promiscuous blog booty-caller, your opinion matters. And let's face it folks, in a world where the world doesn't give a shit what you have to say unless they want money, sex or knowledge from you, this is your chance to blow your proverbial load and smear it all over my smug face.

So give it to me baby, hit me one more time. Just do it. You and me ain't nuthin' but mammals so let's do it like they do on the Discovery channel. How can I ignore you if you don't say something? Let's see if we can hit double digit comments, with this one.

Ya gama3a, be careful what you wish for!!!!! He'll start posting lengthy diatribes and god-awful jokes.

Toots, you've got a great blog...

Thanks, Mando. It's more of a stream of consciousness blog than something that follows a particular theme.

Incidentally, most of the long posts are articles that I found interesting, not stuff that I've written myself. I hope that comes across, despite my not listing the sources.

Carmen, don't hate just because you won't admit that my jokes are KILLERS.

Gracias for the comments, both of you. Anyone else want a piece of this?

Just to do my bit for the Great Double-Digit Drive:

Major qualm: lack of citation of articles and pictures.

Teensy qualm: use of commas and it's/its confusion (shall I send you Eats Shoots and Leaves for your blogaversary?)

Most objectionable post: "what women want in a man" - too lazy to articulate why.

Pièce(s?) de résistance: always impressive choice of images. I can see that you're in marketing.

Unrelated career advice: Don't you want to cross over and use your abilities for good now?

Comment on other comment: I don't agree with gayyash - blogs are, by definition, self-important.

To sum up: I like.

Your link has been updated, ayy khedma. Have also replied to your question, albeit with a poem (occupational hazard, ma3lesh.)

Habby plogaversary!

Thanks for the feedback, Gayyash. Incidentally, with the majority of the leagues around the world starting up again this week, football..fever...is...about...to...resume.

You too, RC, I appreciate the detailed criticism:

Citing sources: I'll start doing that; check out the end of future posts for an all-caps citation.

Commas, its/ it's: Something tells me you're an academic, RC:)

Unrelated career advice: are you offering me a job?

By the way, Eats, Shoots and Leaves is a FANTASTIC book, but I also recommend the Deluxe Transitive Vampire: A Handbook of Grammar for the Innocent, the Eager and the Doomed. Not that it seems to have done my grammar any good, based on you calling me out:)

Thanks, Forsooth. Coming from you, it means a lot!

I had a feeling the 'What Women Want' post would ruffle some feathers, but I hope RC didn't feel I was deliberately being mean.

I was being mean, but not deliberately!
