Vibram Fivefingers

Vibram Fivefingers sounds like a character from Lord of the Rings..

Vibram Fivefingers are outdoor sandals with individual toes. Wearing them is said to mimic the feeling of going barefoot, without the blisters and no-shoes/no-service hassles.

There's an extremely fine line between comfort and an egregious fashion faux pas. This shoe my dear sir and I use the term shoe loosely has breached that line.

Mario Prada is rolling in his grave.

I agree it does look ugly (fugly, even) but, I think they made it as attractive as they could, given that concept of modelling it on a human foot. I mean, if you want really ugly to the point I'd never wear one, you need not look further than sandals.

This I would wear, but just for the sheer dorkiness of the thing and possibly the conversations it would start.

Ya3 to the power of 890.

Sock-like gloves are very popular in winter, in Egypt, and are combined with sandals - which is in itself a separate offence.

Hmmm...socks with sandals is a capital offence. You've heard of the fashion police? Well, I think it's high time we put together a fashion firing squad.

And its the shooters who'd get the blindfolds, just so they don't have to witness whichever fashion foible the condemned is being executed for..

With you on the fashion firing squad.
