Egyptian TV to broadcast ferry victims' faces for identification

I'm appalled. From beginning to end, it's just appalling. As if the drowning of 1300 people wasn't enough, they're planning on broadcasting corpses on TV. What kind of dignified response to a national tragedy is this?

Every Egyptian knows that the safety conditions for these ferries is atrocious BECAUSE it's used primarily for poor people. And then the relief (don't make me laugh) efforts takes over TEN hours to start. Finally this.

But the blame isn't solely on the government. When I lived in Egypt, I never paid taxes because they were easy to avoid. Taxes that should go for safety and services. We reasoned that we got screwed in so many different ways, this was the least we were owed. So the responsibility lies on all our doors.

Well, until we all start behaving like a country, things like this will keep on happening.
