The insidious Tarako Cupie Girls

This is the song/ dance sensation sweeping Japan. The Tarako Cupie Girls are basically two EXTREMELY cute dancing/singing girls who are spokespeople for a cod roe noodle company. Their little number is extremely hypnotic, I mean you simply can't look away. And the Japanese happen to agree: they've been booked on all the morning talk shows, their record is number one over there and their record is played EVERYWHERE. I think the Japanese are warped but I have to admire their ability to tap into people's psyche like that. I'm warning you, this is insanely addictive.

Check it out for yourself and you'll see what I mean.

Sorry mate. I think they're crap. Horrible. Just nasty choreography and an ear-piercing whine.

Slinky: I just post stuff I find interesting. As Forsooth would say, it doesn't take much effort to cut and paste.

Oh, I don't mind they didn't work out. Just one of those things, you know?

You mean the ass picture? Google images, I think..

DNA: They're meant to be horrible. It's kitsch, which the Japanese love. It's so bad it's oddly...appealing.

La Gitana: so odd it's going straight on my iPod..as a video. Must...dance...to...this.

Twosret: Thanks, babe! I'm in your little black book...how perfectly intimate:)

I can understand kitsch, and Japs go ape shit for it, yes, but this shit just put me to sleep. Maybe it's just me. I showed to a couple of people around the office and they thought it was hilarious.

What agency do you work for, DNA? I used to work for Leo Burnett and Saatchi, in Cairo. Just curious..

hahaha kitsch huh? I think the line between kitsch and just plain insanity has been crossed. I have to watch it again just to make sure though.
