Is Volver only releasing in theatres now, or is it on DVD?

Hasn't hit the theater yet; it opens November 3rd (same day as Borat). I'm sure it's been released in Europe and may already be on DVD. I love Pedro Almodovar. Kindred spirits or what?

some good posters there, that shortbus one is really very european, you would never see an american film with a poster like that.
that sacha baron cohen i think looks silly, but the whittaker, jackman, bale & volver all seem pretty good.

For sure! I saw Almodovar in cinema in Madrid the day after he won the Oscar for "Todo Sobre Mi Madre" (and promptly placed the beloved statue on the floor to deliver his acceptance speech).

I saw the previews for Babel yesterday and it looked good. "Stranger than Fiction" and "Running with Scissors" is also on my list.

"The Prestige" was lukewarm good. I dare you to guess the ending before it ends though. I managed to do it, and you know how slow I am...

I agree with you about "The Prestige" wholeheartedly. Great story with a wicked twist (which I didn't guess, btw) but I had issues with the flow of the movie, I felt too much was revealed early on (e.g. why give away the effects of Tesla's machine that early on in the movie?) and the movie lacked Victorian atmosphere, in a way that From Hell and even League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (both average movies) managed very well.

I read "Running with Scissors" and was distinctly unimpressed; Babel has zero appeal to me and "Stranger than Fiction" I have mixed feelings about: I love Charlie Kaufman-esque type story-within-story...but then again, it ain't Charlie Kaufman.
