Female chimp reprisals against aggressive males

It was reported in the Captivate Network (closed-circuit TV channel on most elevators here in New York) that female chimps have been observed to band together and form coalitions with the express aim of punishing aggressive males through a series of intimidating gestures and confrontations.

I really think this shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone who's had the displeasure of viewing almost any season of Sex and the City.
