The last half-decent ad I wrote

It's nice to see it in Citibanks all over New York, though. Makes me feel like I'm leaving something behind. Crap, maybe, but it's better than leaving nothing at all.

I guess 35 is the age when you start thinking about legacy. Damn it-I thought my Peter Pan complex was incurable..

Ha! I do feel old, actually, in a way that's tough to explain. In that it happened to me very suddenly and only in certain parts of my personality. Other parts, I feel 18. I think I posted about this before, but turning 30, as much as it scared me, it also brought unexpected calmness with it (certain previous exchanges nonwithstanding) and less of a desire to experiment with life, as to savor it. I feel I know myself better and have a better handle on how the world knows me. It gives me a confidence that's different from the confidence I had in my 20s.

Then, I didn't know enough to be scared. Now I do, but I also know enough to know that I can overcome these fears.

To answer your questions, 35 isn't old. But he certainly isn't a kid. The advantage is you'll have someone who isn't phased by life (varies, of course, but generally, that's how it is). The disadvantage is that he'll have experienced more than you, which might make you feel you're not in the same place, in life.

Chemistry is chemistry, though, so if you like him, give it a chance.

Alright, well I'm like any 35-year old...GUY! That's the key word. I want someone compatible with me, someone I'm attracted to and someone I can laugh with.

Finally, I just pray to God they never meet each other.

:)
