Another Britcom Classic

"To you, Baldrick, the Rennaissance was just something that happened to other people, wasn't it?"

Blackadder is another classic featuring the incomparable Rowan Atkinson in a role that he plays better than anyone else: the snarky, condescending schemer (much better than his bumbling physical comedy in Bean). Blackadder 2 and 3 (the latter, aided by Hugh Laurie of 'House' fame) were the best of the series, and this sequence, from the episode "head" is among the funniest. Check out the scene where Edmund meets the jail staff for the first time.

If you like this episode and want to see the rest of it, it's available here and here. or you can buy the whole set on Amazon right here.

Black Adder was my favourite british sitcom since it started in 83, it is hilarious & so witty & leaves u in stitches.
But...i find it inconcievable that atkinson chose to do the boring & really terrible mr bean after the black adder! its a mystery to me.

my fav quote: "baldrick, spending eternity in hell with beelzebub & his cronies is nothing compared to 5 minutes with me & this pencil"

"They do say, Mrs. Miggins, that the spoken word is capable of inflicting far greater pain than anything physical.

They were of course wrong as you will soon find out when I stick this walking stick up your rectum!"
