Animal Britain

I left work kind of late yesterday, around 9pm or so. I work in Hammersmith, which is zone 1 in London and pretty central. So imagine my surprise when walking towards Fulham Palace Road and running into...a fox, just like in the picture. I stared at him, he stared at me, I stared at him and he turned around and scrambled into the undergrowth. Good thing they trained me for this sort of thing at my company orientation..

Where the fuck am I?

My parents' cat chases foxes for crying out loud, and humans in London will annoy far more than foxes could ever hope to: in this regard I gave you adequate warning about Croydon.

Yeah, when you hear London has foxes, you think Richmond or Cockfosters, not zone 1!

Cat-fearing foxes or not, it was still kind of scary. If I had a life, it would have flashed before me:)

Basil,

I saw foxes around Earl's Court on way to tube all the time-usually looking scared and hungry, sometimes unwell-attracted by bins and food scraps...and in back gardens frequently.
