I don't know why this touching tribute to all the American women who died in armed conflicts, really touched me.

One of those girls went to high school with me--she was the first female to die in the Iraq war. It's so weird thinking that we were in Biology together.
Was that Lori Piestewa? I remember when she died. I think she was in the same convoy as Jessica Lynch. That's crazy that you knew her..
Very sad... Most of them were in their late teens early twenties. "Babies," like Mary O'Hare (a character in Kurt Vonnegut's Slaughter-House-Five) would say.
