Porn credentials

So a lot has been made, lately, of my penchant for porn and my borderline obsessive interest in sex. This charge has been levelled at me by numerous anonymous commentators on blogs that I'm a frequent visitor to. I don't mind that because, quite simply, it's more true than even they know. I simply love sex and can't seem to get enough of it. I also have a Freudian belief that it motivates all of us, in ways that are not entirely acknowledged or understood. Finally, like most things, too much can be a flaw and too little can be a flaw. And my failings happen to be in the too much camp.

Not that I need to apologise for any of it. Popeye once said, "I is what I is" and I fully concur.

What I don't like is that any perceived failing of mine can somehow be a basis for excluding my ability to have an opinion, be a productive person or somehow be tainted in anything I choose to opine on or company that I happen to keep. My other failings include a vicious temper, an almost complete absence of ego and a somewhat pathological need to fit in. I'm also not good with intimacy and tend to be too much of a loner.

I'm not worried about my failings because, quite simply, everyone has them. Certainly not the same ones but I'm fairly confident I'm no worse, than anyone out there. If it turns out that I do have more failings than others, then that would mean that God has a chosen few whom he's blessed with an abundance of virtues. I can only aspire to being like that but it's a solitary journey of many miles and I doubt the kind of people who seem to have the time to point out my failings offer a model I should observe or present a better ideal I should try and emulate.

So the next time, O Anonymous Masses, you wish to point out my failings to others and cite them as a reason for my contemptible stature, remember who gave you that ammunition. If nothing else, I can lay claim to being more honest than you, exhibiting more character than you and being more concerned with my life than that of others. It may baffle you that I don't hide my flaws or my choices but it really shouldn't. After all, it's better than trying to point out your own virtues to everyone who will listen. or won't listen, as your case may be.

And if you're reading this entry in my blog, despite it's objectionable content, why that means you can't get enough of the virtues that I happen to offer: telling you what a bunch of pathetic, cowardly hypocrites you really are.

Whatever, perv. ;-) I'm thinking you need a link titled "I'm holier than thou" which reroutes some of your naysayers to porn. I wonder if I can make a fatwa against anonymous blog posting...

The 'Disable anonymous blogging' option is better than a fatwa. I've heard that Christians in this country don't know much about science, Cairogal, but this is ridiculous..:)

You're a kindered spirit my friend and a sensitive soul. I know just what you're talking about, the little mice scurrying around looking for any podium to spew ignorant opinions and get off to their the sound of their own voices. Character assasination is an age old method used by ignorant insecure sods, wankers and twats who resort to it to discredit an interlocuter instead of engaing in a rational argument.

It's not just that they're pathetic, cowardly hypocrites, or "ignorant insecure sods," they're also completely immature. They've got a lot of growing up to do and they might never get there.

There are a lot of people who fail to comprehend the idea of someone being entirely honest with themselves about who they are and open about it with others, even with their "failings" as you put it. They think just coz you talk about sex and post porn then you must be a sick perv, it just doesn't register as anything else. Even tho most guys have a similar attitude they just go about it men ta7t le ta7t, since it's "taboo," and somehow they think that way it's less "sick" and more honourable? (Just as long as it's not spoken of!)And they honestly believe that too! It's not just hypocrisy, it's really poor logic we bey2aw7o! You have to feel sorry for these people, coz they'll just never grow up.

You're someone who made the effort to know yourself well, and someone's who's comfortable in their own skin, which is more than can be said for most people.
